Our Griggs family of nurseries has been a part of the community for over 30 years and we know that every garden or landscape has its challenges: clay soil, hungry deer, low water, and changing light, just to name a few. Our staff is always happy to listen to your needs and make recommendations based on your unique situation.

Your success is our ultimate goal!

Locally Grown, Locally Owned

Our mission is to carry only the highest quality plants and pottery. We personally select and grow a majority of our plants to ensure what you see is up to our standards.

We want you to be successful in your gardening project and will help you along the way no matter what your gardening experience is. We will offer you expert advice based on our years of education and planting experience.

Ken Griggs, along with his wife Catherine and two young children, has owned Griggs Nursery for 12 years. He is the second generation of the Griggs family of nurseries which have been on the Monterey Peninsula for nearly 40 years.

26 pallets arriving next week... Where Jack and the Beanstalk began... Seriously don't think I've ever seen more buds and blooms on a single azalea in my life. It may be mid January but these Lily-of-the-Valleys popping up everywhere say it's Early Spring Chop chop! Ditched a good 6 inches of hair and I'm feeling much lighter now Bougies and citrus are all 50%off this week. Great time to get a good deal! I'm having fun today!!
Our can-do kid Every other month or so Ken and I hit the road before dawn and go on a plant shopping spree in San Francisco. We high five a lot and shout "CHECK THIS OUT!" across greenhouse tables. We always buy way too much and come home super excited to unpack all of our goodies at the store. Today was one of those most awesome of days. . I'll keep posting my favorites. Hope you all enjoy!!! Pilea peperomoides. They are all over Instagram and I finally got my hands on a few!! Heading to the nursery now... Got a fresh delivery of citrus today!! Eugenia myrtifolia "Monterey Bay". Makes sense that something so beautiful is named after Monterey! #plantlife #plantpeople #montereybay #nursery Amaryllis, getting all ready Half off baskets!
